10: Lessons Learned from Pharmacy Cleanroom Renovations

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

This presentation will review the key regulatory and facility design updates from the recently revised USP <797> and USP <800> pharmacy compounding standards. The proper design, installation, and commissioning of cleanroom facilities is a complicated and expensive undertaking for any health-system, large or small. With multiple stakeholders, complicated negative pressure engineering control considerations, narrow temperature, differential pressure, and relative humidity requirements, and specific equipment needs, designing a compliant, safe, and efficient cleanroom is no easy task.
