13: NFPA 72, 2019 Edition - Major changes you need to know and understand

With Florida adopting the 2021 edition of NFPA 101, The Life Safety Code, it will pull in the 2019 edition of NFPA 72. This session will cover major changes to the 2019 edition of NFPA 72.
This edition has been modified with the requirements for installation, testing and maintaining Carbon Monoxide detection. NFPA 720, The Standard for the Installation of Carbon Monoxide(CO) Detection and Warning Equipment has been withdrawn and all requirements have been incorporated into NFPA 72, 2019.
Some of the major topics that will be covered are fire alarm control equipment mounting heights, air sampling detection modifications, notification appliance synchronization changes including CO notification requirements and new head-end allowance of a non-UL listed command center known now as a Building System Information Unit, BSIU.
