Robert “Bob” Hervey serves as vice president of real estate and facilities for UF Health Jacksonville, part of the UF Health. Mr. Hervey assumed his role in October 2021. He oversees facilities management, planning, design, construction, real estate and lease management, as well as environmental safety for UF Health Jacksonville and University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians Inc. Additionally, he is responsible for managing cross-functional projects, including the campus master plan, capital budgeting, modernization of facilities and infrastructure, real estate development and emergency preparedness.
Mr. Hervey joined UF Health Jacksonville in 2013 as division director of support services, where he was responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the hospital’s support services departments. Throughout the past ten years, he has directed more than $800 million in new construction projects most notably the construction of UF Health North, which includes a medical office building and two full-service hospital bed towers, infrastructure improvements to City of Jacksonville owned buildings on the UF Health Jacksonville downtown campus, and three new free-standing emergency department/urgent care facilities.
Prior to joining UF Health, Mr. Hervey served as vice president for several construction management firms with a concentration in healthcare. He earned a bachelor’s degree in building construction from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and a master’s in business administration from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri.
Mr. Hervey was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Southpoint, where he has served as president and in other key leadership positions within the organization. He currently serves on the Jacksonville ULI board and is past member of the ARC Jacksonville Board of Directors.
