Brian is an accomplished architect with 30 years of experience encompassing healthcare projects of all types — greenfield hospitals, hospital additions, renovations, and outpatient care centers included. His forward-thinking nature, large-scale planning abilities, and attention to detail is evident in his work. At Gresham Smith, Brian has led some of the firm's most significant and complex healthcare projects, steering them from conceptual planning through to the construction phase. He is focused on providing clients with flexible design solutions that promote positive patient outcomes and staff well-being.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Art, Architecture & Planning. He began his career with Hasenstab Architects in Akron, Ohio, where he quickly immersed himself in healthcare design, working on projects for Akron Children’s Hospital, Akron City Hospital, and the Cleveland Clinic. In 2006, he relocated with his family to Florida and joined Gresham Smith. Since then, he has collaborated with numerous health systems on a variety of projects across the state. Recently, Brian became a certificant of the American College of Healthcare Architects.
Outside of his professional life, Brian is the proud father of 18-year-old twins who are both starting college in the fall.
