Daniel Escobar
Diffusion Architecture
Daniel Escobar is a Creative Designer and Project Architect with over eight years of experience, based in New York. He has led diverse architectural projects, including educational facilities in New York and Massachusetts, as well as significant federal developments in South Korea and Saudi Arabia for clients such as the US Air Force, Army Corps, and USAID, while at Tetra Tech, Inc. He is also the co-founder of Diffusion Architecture, an innovative online platform that intersects artificial intelligence with architecture. This initiative not only showcases pioneering works but also builds a community through hosted dialogues and workshops with global leaders in the field. He has developed advanced digital tools, notably a web app that uses deep learning to analyze and transform large image datasets into 3D models. He has co-authored several papers presented at international architecture computation conferences, focusing on AI in design and 3D generation. His digital artworks have been exhibited in prestigious venues such as the South Korea Light Festival 2023 and the Venice Biennale 2023 in collaboration with Felecia Davis Studio. He has taught multiple workshops internationally on AI and architectural computation design. Co-founder of the Online Lab of Architecture (OLA), Daniel has been recognized for his contributions to digital architecture with numerous awards and featured publications. His work includes innovative projects like the "Elemental" virtual meta-park and "The Power of Data," which explores architectural expression through AI, and “Circular”, a proposal for a Data Center landscape in Italy
