Judy Smith, as a co-founder of a consultancy, is an experienced and recognized management consultant, facility planner, author, lecturer, and strategist. She works exclusively with women and children’s health services. She served on the committee to update FGI hospital design guidelines as a children’s hospital, obstetrics, and NICU planning specialist for several decades. She chaired the development of the first children’s hospital chapter in 2014 and continues to be involved in updates.

She is the facilitator for The Center for Health Design’s new Pediatric Environment Network (PEN), a group of top children’s hospitals facility leaders, healthcare architects and other industry representatives, who are dedicated to advancing pediatric healthcare environments. She was the recipient of several awards including FGI’s 2020 Pioneer Award and the 2013 International Gravens Award for Leadership in Enhancing the Physical and Developmental of High Risk Infants. Her experience includes completing more than 1,000 women and children’s health care projects in the U.S. and internationally.
