17: Next-Generation Smart & Secure Hospitals: Integrated Environments for Enhanced Patient & Clinician Experience
Healthcare spaces are embracing AI, enabling the creation of intelligent, patient-centered care environments. AI-driven “smart hospitals” are optimizing patient flow, efficiently managing equipment usage, and proactively predicting maintenance requirements, ensuring seamless operations. By analyzing data on factors such as pain management preferences, lighting, and room acoustics, AI is personalizing patient experiences while also influencing architectural design. The spatial layout of these facilities is being reimagined to accommodate the advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies driven by AI, ensuring that new infrastructure aligns with patient needs and provider workflows. By attending this session, participants will gain actionable insights from real-world projects, drawing on strategies, successes, and lessons learned in designing spaces that balance functionality, personalization, and healing with the demands of cutting-edge technology—setting a new standard for modern healthcare design.
