Mark Schwartz

University of Rochester

Biography :

Mark is the Executive Director of Facilities and Operations at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His responsibilities include oversight of an 883-bed acute-care hospital, a medical school, seven affiliated hospitals, and more than 300 off-site ambulatory healthcare facilities. Mark chairs the Hospital’s Environment of Care Council, providing leadership in meeting regulatory and accreditation standards. He also serves on committees focused on infection prevention, perioperative services, and hospital senior leadership. Mr. Schwartz is the past president of the Genesee Valley Regional Association for Healthcare Engineers. Mark has over 45 years of experience in Facilities, specializing in healthcare, academia, and mission-critical research facilities.
