Robert Solomon
SOCOTEC Life Safety
Biography :
Robert provides support throughout the SOCOTEC team to maintain and expand external relationships with current and potential clients and collaborators. He serves as a technical resource regarding the application of code-based and analytical solutions to unique building designs and the use of innovative and novel construction assemblies and techniques. Applying his previous experience surrounding emerging issues, he identifies new processes or procedures to assist AHJs, developers, building owners, and members of the design team on streamlining their ability to comply with the dynamic changes in the codes and standards that deal with the built environment.
He joined the (SLS) SOCOTEC staff in June 2020 after spending a 34-year career at the National Fire Protection Association — NFPA where he served as the Director of the Built Environment Codes and Fire Protection Systems group. Prior to joining NFPA, he worked for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) in Charleston, South Carolina.
