Paul Carastro holds bachelor’s degrees in Industrial and Electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. After starting his career in system protection with FP&L, he has accumulated 37 years of consulting engineering experience with firms in West Palm Beach and Tampa, Florida. Mr. Carastro currently serves as a principal in the Tampa studio of BSA LifeStructures, an integrated architectural and engineering firm with seven studios throughout the US. Prior to that he served in leadership roles at Carastro & Associates, Engineers for 35 years. Mr. Carastro specializes in the design of healthcare, learning and discovery projects as well as mission critical facilities. He produces and supervises electrical designs utilizing medium and low voltage switchgear, backup generation, central energy plants and uninterruptible power systems. His expertise also power studies and the design and specification of SCADA monitoring and control systems.
